Ingredients
The ingredients required for this recipe are 6-7 cups of full-fat milk, and three tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice.
Heat the milk
Pour the full-fat milk into a cooking pot and heat it until it comes to a boil. Stir it continuously to avoid burning.
Curdle the milk
When the milk is boiled, add lemon juice to it and stir the milk. Allow it to curdle to separate whey from curd.
Separate curdled milk
Allow the whey or chena to rest and strain the curd using a cheesecloth or muslin cloth. Squeeze it well to drain excess water.
Rest the paneer
Rest the extracted paneer to cool down for 10 minutes. Pour a weight on top of it and press it down to remove excess moisture.
Set the paneer
Once the paneer is set and fir cut it down into smaller cubes. Sprinkle some salt on it and eat it raw or use it in curries.
