Ingredients
One cup of walnuts, half a cup of water, one cup of jaggery, half a tablespoon of crushed fennel seeds, half a tablespoon of sesame seeds, two tablespoons of ghee, and a pinch of cardamom powder.
Roast walnuts
Take a pan add walnuts to it, and dry roast them for 5-7 minutes until it get golden brown. Now, break them into small pieces.
Melt jaggery
Chop the jaggery into smaller pieces and add it to the pan with ghee and water. Let the jaggery melt at a low flame and stir it continuously.
Add roasted walnuts
Add the roasted walnuts, crushed fennel seeds, sesame seeds, and cardamom to the pan. Combine it well to coat the walnuts with the jaggery syrup.
Set chikkis
Transfer the mixture to a baking tray greased with butter. Layer and spread it evenly using a rolling pin.
Cut pieces
Once the chikkis have set and cooled completely, cut them into small rectangles and store in an airtight container.
