Ingredients
Half cup of moong dal, two tbsp water, half cup of maida, half cup of wheat flour (Atta), three-fourth tsp salt, half tsp carrom seeds (ajwain), three tbsp oil (hot), three tbsp maida, oil.
Prepare moong dal
Firstly, soak half a cup of moong dal for 3-4 hours. Starin and keep it aside. This gives the dal the right consistency.
Make dough
You have to mix half a cup of maida, half a cup of wheat flour, three-fourth tsp salt, and half tsp ajwain in a bowl. Add hot oil.
Add moong dal
Now, blend the soaked moong dal with two tbsp water to form a coarse paste. Add this paste to the flour mixture.
Knead the Dough
Ultimately, knead the flour and moong dal mixture into a smooth, firm dough. Add one tbsp hot oil while kneading.
Roll & Fry
After that, you have to roll the dough into small balls, flatten, and dust with two tbsp of maida. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
