Gather Ingredients
For this you require one cup of whole wheat flour, half a cup of besan, half a cup yoghurt, one-fourth cup water, one tablespoon of oil, a teaspoon of cumin seeds, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon garam masala, one-fourth teaspoon of red chilli powder, and salt to taste.
Combine ingredients
Mix wheat flour, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin seeds, and salt.
Knead the dough
Add ghee, yoghurt, and water and mix. Knead the mixture until you get a soft dough.
Rest the dough
Once dough is kneaded, grease it with some ghee and cover it with a muslin cloth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll portions
Divide the dough into different portions. Flatten each portion into thin circles with a rolling pin.
Cook and serve
Heat the pan and add ghee to it. Cook the thepla on medium heat from both the sides until golden brown. Serve with achaar or yoghurt.
