Ingredients
Two cups of peanuts, two cups of water, one and a half cups of jaggery, one tablespoon of crushed fennel seeds, two tablespoons of sesame seeds, two tablespoons of ghee, and a pinch of cardamom.
Roast peanuts
Take a pan add peanuts, and dry roast them for 5-7 minutes until it gets golden brown. Now, peel the peanuts.
Add jaggery
Chop the jaggery into smaller pieces and add it to the pan with water. Let the jaggery melt at a low flame and stir it continuously.
Add ghee and cardamom
Once the jaggery syrup has required consistency, turn off the flame and add ghee and cardamom powder. Stir it well to mix everything.
Add roasted peanuts
Add the roasted peanuts, crushed fennel seeds, and sesame seeds to the pan. Combine it well to coat the peanuts with the mixture.
Set chikkis
Transfer the chikki mixture to a baking tray greased with butter. Layer and spread it evenly.
Cut pieces
Once the chikkis are set and cool down completely, cut them into small rectangle pieces and store them in an airtight container.
