Ingredients
For this, you require one cup of whole wheat flour, half a cup of besan, half a cup of methi (fenugreek leaves), half a cup of yoghurt, one-fourth cup of water, one tablespoon of oil, a teaspoon of cumin seeds, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon of garam masala, one-fourth teaspoon of red chilli powder, and salt to taste.
Combine ingredients
Mix wheat flour, salt, red chilli powder, methi leaves, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin seeds, and salt.
Knead dough
Add ghee, yoghurt, and water and mix. Knead the mixture until you get a soft dough and grease some oil or ghee on it.
Rest the dough
Once dough is kneaded, grease it with some ghee and cover it with a muslin cloth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll portions
Divide the dough into different portions or small balls. Flatten each portion into thin circles with a rolling pin.
Cook thepla
Heat the pan and add ghee to it. Cook the thepla on medium heat from both sides until golden brown.
Cool and store
Let the thepla cool down to room temperature and wrap them in butter paper. Store it in an airtight container and enjoy with achaar, yoghurt, or a cup of chai.
