Ingredients
One cup jowar flour/sorghum flour / jolada hittu, three-fourth cup hot water, or as required to knead dough, half cup jowar flour/sorghum flour / jolada hittu, for dusting.
Preparing the Dough
In a mixing bowl, put the jowar flour. Hot water is poured in gradually while simultaneously kneading it to smooth dough.
Shaping the Roti
A small dough ball is taken and pressed down with palms and fingers. Dust flour all over the surface to prevent sticking while shaping.
Cooking on Tawa
Heat the tawa and place the roti. Water is sprinkled on the top. Before sprinkling water on the other side, the water is allowed to evaporate.
Serve
Make sure the roti gets cooked all around by gently pressing and serve hot with ennegai curry or dry garlic chutney for taste.
