Bhumi Pednekar Tofu Isabgol Tikki Recipe For A Protein Boost

Bhumi Pednekar shared a glimpse of the lunchbox on her Instagram account and wrote, 'Eating healthy is a lifestyle in itself. She includes healthy tofu isabgol tikki in her diet. It is a low-calorie dish that helps keep her full for longer and aids in weight loss. Tap to read the recipe!

Ingredients

200 grams of firm tofu, two tablespoons of isabgol (psyllium husk), one medium potato (boiled and mashed), one small onion (finely chopped), one green chilli (finely chopped), a teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste, a teaspoon of cumin powder, salt to taste, fresh coriander leaves (chopped), and oil for shallow frying.

Prepare tofu

Squeeze and drain the excess water from the tofu. Crumble it into a small bowl using your hands or a fork.

Prepare batter

Now, add mashed potatoes, isabgol, tofu, onion, green chilli, ginger garlic paste, salt, cumin powder and salt. Combine everything together to make a soft dough.

Shape tikkis

Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into small round patties. Cook the tikkis until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

Serve

Place the tikkis on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve it hot with mint chutney or ketchup on the side.
