Ingredients for dough

To make momo dough, you require two cups of all-purpose flour/maida, a teaspoon of salt, two tablespoons of ghee, and one-fourth cup of lukewarm water.

Ingredients for filling

To prepare momo filling, you need one cup of boiled corn, chopped onion, salt, pepper, oregano, grated cheese, two garlic cloves, one tablespoon of vinegar, one tablespoon of chilli sauce, and one tablespoon of soy sauce.

Knead the dough

Combine whole wheat flour, salt, and ghee, and slowly add the warm water to knead a soft dough. Rest the dough aside for 30 minutes.

Prepare the filling

Heat the oil in a pan and saute chopped onions and corn with chilli sauce, salt, pepper and soy sauce. Cool this and combine it with grated cheese.

Roll the dough

Divide the dough and make the small balls out of it. Flatten the balls on a sheet using a rolling pin and fill it with prepared corn and cheese filling.

Shape momo

Once you have placed the filling in the momo, wrap it in a half-moon shape. Grease the momo with oil.

Steam momo

Place the momo in a steamer with water. Steam the momo for 10-12 minutes until they are soft and tender.

Serve momo

Once the momo is cooked properly, serve the hot with hot chilli sauce on the side. Garnish momo with chopped cilantro on top.
