Ingredients
One cup cooked subudana, half a teaspoon of red chilli powder, half a teaspoon of black pepper powder, a teaspoon of roasted cumin powder, half a lemon, one-third teaspoon of sendha namak (rock salt), one tablespoon of chopped green coriander leaves, one-fourth cup pomegranate seeds, half a cup of makhana, half a cup of peanuts, and one tablespoon of ghee.
Soak sabudana
Soak sabudana for 3-4 hours and drain the excess water. Let it dry off and steam for 5-7 minutes.
Roast sabudana
In a pan, add a teaspoon of ghee and add soaked sabudana. Roast it for 5-7 minutes on a low flame until it is soft.
Roast makhana and peanuts
In the same pan, add makhana and peanuts to the pan with a tablespoon of ghee. Toast it until golden brown and crispy.
Assemble the bhel chaat
Take a bowl and add the roasted sabudana, boiled mashed potatoes, chopped green chilli, roasted peanuts, makhana, jeera, red chilli powder, and salt.
Serve the bhel
Squeeze half a lemon and pomegranate seeds and toss it well to combine everything. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
