Ingredients
Two large onions, one cup of all-purpose flour or maida, a teaspoon of salt and red chilli powder, half a teaspoon of black pepper, one cup of buttermilk, three-fourth cup besan (gram flour), oil for frying, one-fourth teaspoon garlic powder onion powder, and a tablespoon of fresh parsley.
Prepare onions
Slice and separate the onion slices to create onion rings. Soak the onion rings in buttermilk for an hour.
Coat onion rings
Now, take a big bowl and add maida, besan, salt, black pepper, ginger powder and buttermilk. Coat each onion ring with this batter and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Heat oil
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the onion rings for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Ganish and serve
Drain the excess oil on a paper towel, sprinkle some salt or peri peri masal on top garnish with fresh parsley. Serve it hot with mint chutney or ketchup on the side.
