Are you craving a sweet dessert? Kalakand is a milk-based, low-carbohydrate dessert. Try this instant bread kalakand recipe at home from leftover bread slices.
Ingredients
Lefover bread slices, 1-2 cups of milk, 2-3 tablespoons of milk powder, 400 grams of condensed milk, 400-500 grams of paneer, a teaspoon of elaichi powder, and some chopped pistachios on top.
Prepare the base
Start by cutting the edges of the bread and crumble it into a fine powder. Add this glass container to make the first layer.
Boil milk
Take a saucepan and add milk with paneer in it. Boil the milk for five minutes on a low flame until the paneer is combined.
Add condensed milk
Now, add condensed milk and sugar to the pan. Cook it on a low flame until the mixture starts to thicken.
Set the tray
Now, add the prepared mixture to the glass container. Add one more layer of bread and layer it again with the mixture. Set it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Garnish and serve
Garnish the kalakand with pistachio powder and dry fruits on top. Cut it into small square pieces and enjoy.
