Ingredients
4-5 large mangoes, one tablespoon of powdered sugar, half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, one cup of wheat flour, oil for frying, 5-6 saffron strands, water as required, and a pinch of salt.
Prepare mangoes
Start by thoroughly washing under cold water. Wipe them off with a paper towel and pat it dry. Chop the mangoes into small cubes.
Combine ingredients
Take a mixer and add chopped mango pieces, cardamom powder, and sugar. Blend it well until smooth.
Chill aamras
Transfer the aamras into small bowls and garnish with saffron strands. Cover it with muslin cloth and chill in the fridge for 30-40 minutes.
Prepare puris
Combine wheat flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead a soft dough. Make softballs and let them rest.
Fry puris
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry puris until golden brown and crispy. Serve the puris with chilled aamras.
