Ingredients
5-6 bread slices, 1-2 boiled potatoes, 1-2 green chillies, half an onion, a pinch of turmeric, half a teaspoon of red chilli powder, one tablespoon of corn flour, a few coriander leaves, salt to taste, half a cup of breadcrumbs, and one tablespoon of lemon juice.
Combine potatoes with spices
Take a bowl and add mashed potatoes, red chilli powder, salt, and cumin powder. Mix it well to combine it with potatoes.
Soak bread
Now, take the bread and cut their edges. Soak the bread in water and then squeeze to remove excess water.
Shape cutlets
Take the soaked bread and add the prepared potato filling into it. them into small round or oval balls. Refrigerate it for some time to set.
Coat breadcrumbs
Take a bowl and combine corn flour, breadcrumbs and salt. Dip the tikkis in this and coat with breadcrumbs to bind. Refrigerate it again for 10-15 minutes.
Fry
Take a pan and heat some oil over a medium flame. Now, place each cutlet in it and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Serve
Place the cutlet in paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve it hot with mint chutney or ketchup on the side.
