Ingredients
Half cup besan (gram flour), half block firm tofu, one small onion, one small tomato, 1-2 green chillies, one tsp cumin seeds, half tsp turmeric powder, one tsp ginger-garlic paste, Salt to taste, Fresh coriander leaves, Water as needed, Oil for cooking.
Prepare the Tofu
In a bowl, take the crumbled tofu, and mix in besan with cumin, turmeric powder, salt, and ginger-garlic paste. Blend in well.
Mix the Dry Ingredients
Chop and add an onion, tomato, green chillies, and fresh coriander leaves to the tofu mixture. Give everything a good stir.
Add vegetables
Add a small amount of water, and little by little, blend until a thick, pancake-like batter forms. Should run freely but not too runny.
Add water
Heat a non-stick skillet or pan with some oil or ghee on medium flame.
Heat the pan
Pour in a ladle full of batter and give it a circular shape. Let the chilas sizzle for 2-3 minutes until it is golden brown and crispy on one side.
Serve it hot!
Flip and finish cooking the other side. Serve hot with chutney or yoghurt. Enjoy your breakfast packed with protein!
