Ingredients

One cup of rava (semolina), two medium tomatoes, one onion, two green chillies, a teaspoon of mustard seeds, a teaspoon of urad dal, 6-7 curry leaves, an inch of ginger, coriander leaves, salt, a pinch of turmeric, oil, and 1-2 cups of water.

Roast rava

Take a pan and add rava; dry-roast rava on a low flame until golden brown and crispy. Let it cool down to room temperature.

Temper the spices

Heat oil in a pan and add urad dal, curry leaves, mustard seeds, ginger, and green chilli. Cook them until it start to crackle.

Saute vegetables

Add chopped onion to the pan and saute until golden brown. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, salt and water. Cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.

Add rava

Now, add the dry-roasted rava to the pana and stir it continuously to avoid lumps. Cook this until it thickens. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
