Holi will be celebrated on 14th March 2025. Holi is all about colours and fun, but harsh synthetic dyes can harm your skin and hair. Protect your skin and hair; tap to read the essential tips.
Oil as moisturiser
Before stepping out, moisturise your skin thoroughly. Apply coconut oil or almond oil as a moisturiser to add a skin barrier.
Apply sunscreen
Apply a high sunscreen to protect your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. It also helps skin tanning.
Drink enough water
Drink plenty of water in fluids in advance to keep your skin hydrated. It helps prevent dry patches on the skin.
Oil your hair
Massage your scalp and hair with coconut, almond, or castor oil. This helps prevent harsh colours and chemicals sticking to your hair.
Braid your hair
Wear a braid or bun instead of open hairstyles like a ponytail. Open hairs can make colours get settled on your scalp and hair.
Wear a bandana
Cover your hair by wearing a stylish scarf or bandana. You can also wear a cap to protect your scalp from colour stains and sun exposure.
Protect lips and nails
Apply a thick layer of vaseline or coconut oil to your lips. This will protect your lips from cracking. Keep your nails short and apply nail paint to prevent staining.
Wear protective clothing
Try to wear full-sleeve cotton clothes to avoid direct contact with colours. Try to opt for dark coloured clothes to avoid stains.
