Ingredients
One cup of cashews, two cups of almonds, half a cup of sugar, four tablespoons of ghee, 6-7 saffron strands, half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, and 4-5 cups of milk.
Soak almonds
Start by soaking almonds in water overnight or atleast for two hours. This will help remove the almond peel easily.
Blend almonds and cashews
Take a mixer and add peeled almonds, cashews, and milk. Blend it together into a smooth paste.
Boil milk with saffron
Take a saucepan and add the remaining milk with saffron strands and sugar. Boil this for 2-3 minutes on a low heat.
Cook halwa
Take another pan and add ghee to it with almond and cashew paste. Roast it until it turns golden brown while stirring continuously.
Add saffron milk
Now, add the saffron milk to this. Cook it for 5-10 minutes on a low flame until it starts to thicken, and garnish with chopped almonds for extra crunch.
