Ingredients
Four cups of leftover rice, two boiled potatoes, chopped onion, chopped carrots, chopped green chilli, two tablespoons of gram flour (besan), half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon of red chilli powder, half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of black salt
Prepare dough
Take leftover rice and mash it properly, and add two boiled potatoes with besan . Now, add the chopped vegetables and all the spices and knead a smooth dough.
Shape rice balls
Now, divide the dough into small sections and shape them into small balls.
Deep fry rice balls
Take a pan and heat the oil for sometime. Now, put the rice balls in it and deep fry them.
Serve
Pack these delicious shinchan rice balls hot with a tangy mint sauce in your kids tiffin.
