Ingredients
One cup of dried fruits (raisins, apricots, and cranberries), one cup of brown sugar, one cup of butter, two cups of all-purpose flour, one cup of mixed nuts (almonds and walnuts), one orange juice, one teaspoon of vanilla essence, 4-5 eggs, and one teaspoon baking powder.
Soak dried fruits
Take dried fruits and chop them into small pieces and soak them in orange juice overnight. This will enhance the flavour.
Combine dry ingredients
Take a bowl and add brown sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and flour. Stir it well to combine the ingredients.
Combine butter and sugar
Take a bowl and add butter and sugar. Whisk this until creamy and smooth, and add vanilla essence and eggs.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Now, slowly start pouring wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir continuously to avoid forming lumps in the batter.
Add dried fruits and nuts
Drain the orange juice from the chopped fruits and add it to the batter along with dried nuts. Mix it evenly.
Bake the cake
Grease the cake pan with butter and pour the batter evenly. Bake the cake for 30-40 minutes at 180°. Once baked, layer with chocolate ganache.
