Strawberry sago is a creamy dessert that combines chewy sago, coconut milk, strawberry purée, condensed milk, and chopped strawberries. It is perfect for strawberry season. Tap to read the recipe for kids!
Ingredients
One-third sabudana (boiled), half a cup strawberries (chopped), half a cup fresh tender coconut (malai), half a cup strawberry puree (7-8 strawberries blended with milk) , lots of ice, one cup coconut milk, and honey to taste.
Soak sago (sabudana)
Soak the sago overnight and wash it a few times before using. Boil it for 4-5 minutes and strain. Run it under cold water to remove extra starch.
Make strawberry puree
Take a mixer and add 7-8 strawberries with coconut milk and honey. Grind to a smooth strawberry puree.
Combine ingredients
Take a big bowl and add chopped strawberries, chopped tender coconut, soaked sago, strawberry jelly, blended strawberry puree and ice.
Add honey
Add honey for sweetness and stir it well. You can also add condensed milk and chopped melon for a different flavour.
Garnish and serve
Transfer this into small glasses. Garnish with sliced strawberries on top and add serve.
