Chikungunya Signs and Symptoms: The symptoms and signs of Chikungunya fever generally start with fever two to four days after bite of an infected mosquito. Chikungunya is not a serious disease, but if the affected person has other complications, the Chikungunya disease symptoms may aggravate and may result in complications and may even pose threat to life. Chikungunya typically starts with symptoms like fever, head ache and joint pain. The attack is sudden and sometimes it is accompanied with rashes. The condition also known as Sandhi Jwara in Sanskrit has the similar symptoms to Chikungunya. Sandhi Jwara which means 'pain in joints' and this is one of the primary symptoms of Chikungunya.
