The most common of all symptoms of kidney dysplasia is the enlargement of kidneys and this condition can be found in infants while they are in the womb.
What is Kidney Dysplasia?
Kidneys are organs that are responsible for filtering fluids and wastes from the blood to form urine. This urine flows from kidneys to the bladder though tubes called ureters. Kidney dysplasia is a condition that can be found in infants while they grow in the womb.
There are other terms that are used by scientists and doctors to describe the condition like renal dysplasia and multicystic dysplastic kidney (MCDK).
In this condition, the internal structures of one or both kidneys of the baby do not develop normally. The sacs filled with fluid are called cysts which replace normal kidney tissue. Kidney dysplasia usually takes place in one kidney and the infant suffering from the condition can have a normal growth and has few health problems. The infants who suffer from dysplasia in both the kidneys do not survive the pregnancy and some of those who do, need a dialysis and kidney transplant in early stages of life.

The most common symptom of kidney dysplasia includes enlargement of kidney at the time of birth. The abnormalities caused in the urinary tract may lead to urinary tract infections. Children who suffer with kidney dysplasia may suffer from high blood pressure but, only in rare cases. Children suffering from the condition also are at a little risk of kidney cancer.
