There are many types of ovarian cysts and most of them create a problem for women trying to conceive. Women who have cysts are also at risk of developing the problem of polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD). This condition might lead to irregular periods which might create a problem for a pregnant woman. During a woman’s menstrual cycle, eggs grow in a sac called a follicle. This sac located inside the ovaries might break open and release an egg. But in case, the follicle does not break open and the fluid inside the follicle can form a cyst. Cysts can be cured by taking appropriate medication, but in some cases, the problem can’t be cured which can become a major obstacle in conceiving. In such cases, IVF is advised to a childless woman to help her dream of having a child become a reality.
