How to Communicate Better during Sex

Effective communication in bed is enough to make you understand the difference between sex and 'quality sex'. Many of us think that too much verbalisation of sexual desire can ruin intercourse. On the contrary, talking with your partner about what turns you on during sex can significantly make it a memorable one. Developing better communication skills and implementing the same in the act of consummation can go a long way into making your relationship stronger at both emotional and physical levels.

Here are few tips to communicate better with your partner to add spice to your regular sex life.

Be Specific

Being specific about your sexual desires is the key to having a great sex life. Tell your partner what makes you happy in bed and see how it improves intimacy between the two of you. It can be sometimes intimidating or unfit for the moment, but like you, your partner would also want to know what you really want while you make love.

Be Frank yet respectful

Try to be frank and avoid sending her confused messages; pay heed to what your partner has to say and also ask questions in order to clear your doubts in future. Never interrupt or overpower your partner while they are speaking about their desires as it will make them defensive and put an end to your otherwise fruitful conversation.

Praise your woman

There is so much to praise in a woman. Start with a casual conversation to reach the comfort level. Compliment her all you can, but don't overdo because she will anyway notice your buttered lies. However, don’t miss the opportunity to praise her equally beautiful smile that she gives you when you look into her eyes.

Honesty is the key

Be honest while talking to your partner during sex. Women love when men pour their heart out as it gives them a sense of comfort. Don’t just say what you think your partner may want to hear in order to satisfy them, rather communicate your wants and desires to your partner. But before that, it is important to be aware of your own feelings regarding sex.

Don’t forget the timing

While having sex, avoid discussing about your sexual problems as it may lead to frustration and disappointment. Save major sexual discussions for the right time. Bringing up your grievances in the middle of the act can cause bitterness in your sex life.

Not just verbal

Communication during sex doesn’t always have to be verbal, there are so many other ways you can communicate your feelings and desires to turn your partner on. Trying different sexual positions will communicate a lot of things about your motive and desires. Make your love slow and longer by sharing passionate kisses, playing around with her hair, etc.

Be supportive and encourage your partner to indulge in verbally communicating her needs to you. Make her feel comfortable by acknowledging her desires and by giving her suggestions.
