The saline solution can be prepared at home by mixing one teaspoon of common salt in a half litre of warm water and adding a pinch of baking soda. The patient should sniff the solution through one nostril closing the other with a thumb and blow the nose gently to drain out the mucous.


Inhale the steam of hot water

Inhaling the steam of hot water from a vaporizer four to five times a day helps  to thin the mucous, draining it out from the nasal passages. This is one of the simplest home remedies for sinus infection.

Vegetable jucies for sinus infection

Drinking a mixture of  carrot, beet, cucumber and spinach juices is good for you.. Mix 100ml of cucumber and beet juice to 300ml of carrot juice and drink to get best results.


Eucalyptus oil for sinus infection

Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to hot water and inhale the steam.for 10-15 minutes; this drains out the mucous from the nasal passages.
