Healthy Vegetable Rice Recipe
Rice being the staple food in the tropical countries, it has enjoyed a fare share of varieties and preparation-techniques. Here is another one. To prepare Rice Spice you need the following ingredients.
Key Ingredients: 2 cups long-grained rice, 1 finely chopped onion, 2.5 tablespoons of jalapeno pepper (finely chopped), 3-4 cilantro leaves (minced), 2 cups of vegetable broth, salt as per taste.
Sauté the garlic and onion in the pan with little butter. Add the remaining ingredients into it and bring it to boil. Simmer the dish for 15 minutes till the rice is soft and tender. Mix the rice with a fork gently so that the rice grains don’t break! Garnish it with cilantro. Adding salt is optional.
Nutri-check: Rice is comparatively low in fat, than bread and unpolished rice contains fibre as well.
