We always say that one should think before implementing something. When it comes to breastfeeding, several myths are successful in misguiding new mothers and parents. However, one should not believe in hearsay and trust only credible sources. In this special Health Talk, Dr Anita Sharma, Lactation Counsellor, Fortis La Femme, helps debunk several myths that surround the sensitive issue of breastfeeding and new mothers.

There are several things which we come to hear when it comes to breastfeeding. Be it giving drops of honey to the baby before the first breastfeed or taking the first milk of the mother to be impure; all of these stand to be untrue as the first milk of the mother is said to have several healing properties for the baby from fatal diseases.
