Engaging in regular physical activity helps decrease fatigue and strengthens muscles and bones. General measures that can be taken if you are a patient of arthritis are doing stretching exercises, taking brisk walks so that the joints are in motion and well lubricated and the wear and tear in them is reduced. A proper diet is also necessary that should include foods and calcium and vitamin supplements. Lifestyle modifications can be done by avoiding squatting, sitting cross legged and using Indian toilets and not running on concrete floors.
