Pilates Reformer Exercises - This exercise greatly benefits the arms and especially the triceps. For this exercise, you need to relax your spine and knees and make sure that the resistance that you set on the reformer is light to medium. Breathing plays a major role in Pilates as deep breaths help in lengthening the spine and strengthening the core muscles. Also make sure that when performing these triceps extensions the movements should be smooth and never jerky. According to Doctor Namita Agarwal, beginner should ideally perform this Pilates exercise only 5 to 6 times. The maximum number of times that anyone should perform these extensions on the reformer is 10.
