IBS is commonly known as irritable bowel syndrome and is a condition where large intestine is affected. What are the causes of IBS or Irritable bowel syndrome? Well, hypothetically there is a connection between brain and gut system, wherein patient complaints about chronic stress. Apart from stress, there could be many causes of IBS; the things that trigger irritable bowel syndrome can be foods, anxiety or stress, fluctuating hormones, other illnesses infections or other bacteria in the intestines. The foods that can cause allergy, foods such as certain spices, foods that are high on fat, certain fruits, beans, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, milk and fizzy drinks or carbonated beverages and also if someone is having alcohol. Now, stress is another very big reason of IBS or irritable bowel syndrome and the cause of stress could be anything. Another reason that can cause irritable bowel syndrome is fluctuation in hormones like women experience in menstrual periods or menopause. There are many other reasons or illnesses that could cause irritable bowel syndrome like gastroenteritis, also known as infectious diarrhea, bacterial infection in intestines. Now, irritable bowel syndrome is a common but chronic condition that you people are required to suffer from long term. Irritable Bowel Syndrome can cause pain in stomach, constipation and diarrhea, bloating, cramps, and gas. Now, what are the symptoms of IBS? The most common symptoms might include diarrhea, cramps in stomach, abdominal pain in lower half of the stomach, constipation, and bloating, gastric troubles, abdominal dilation, extra hard or extra loose stools.
