Depression is a terrible thing to happen yet it's quite common. Almost every woman experiences stress at some point during pregnancy. Drastically fluctuating hormone levels can lead to substantial mood swings. Depression can lead to many-fold problems during pregnancy, labour and or post delivery. Depressed women are more prone to anemia, back pain, urinary tract infections and infections of the genital tract. A depressed woman in labour has a higher chance of having a caesarean section.
