Grinding exercise is one of the best stretching exercises that can be performed easily at home. The exercise gets its name from the motion of grinding flours that were used in olden times. For the exercise, one needs to sit widely legged. Thereafter, try to touch toe with the hand to initiate the exercise. Move to the side, then backwards and forward. Put your hands together; move them on the clockwise motion, touching both toes. After doing it for the least of 10 times, follow it with an anti-clockwise motion. Grinding exercise helps you to stretch muscles of hamstring and waist. Alternatively, move elbow to the knee that will stretch waist further. Multiple repetitions of exercise are recommended for maximum effect.
