Himanshu kapoor, food expert, says that to balance the three doshas (pitta, vata, kapha) in the body, tridoshic dal is eaten. To prepare this dal, required ingredients are moong dal, ghee, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, green chilli and bottle gourd. Heat a pan, put a teaspoon of ghee into it and add a pinch of asafoetida (hing), quarter spoon of turmeric and lemon juice into the heated ghee. Add finely chopped garlic, ginger and chilli into it. To make the tridoshic dal lighter, add few small pieces of bottle gourd. Add dal and enough amount of water into it for boiling. Add salt according to taste and stir. Cover the pan and leave it for few minutes.
