When everything else fails, yoga comes to the aid. In just minutes, get back in your happy mood with these yoga poses.

Take a yoga mat. Stand straight on it. Now, slowly rise one foot up and place it on your other knee. Try to balance your body while balancing the position, slowly raise your arms above your head along with inhaling. Now, join both your palms together and form surya namskar pose with one leg. You won't only have to balance your entire body weight on one leg but also try to concentrate your mind and locate stillness in your mind.

Kneel down on the yoga mat. Now, exhale and bend backwards, stretch your arms backside and touch your toes. You will feel your spine stretching along with your abdominal muscles. Stretch your throat and move your head backwards. Stay like this for a minute and then release to get back in the initial position, sitting back on your heels. This pose generates energy and can help you release mental and physical tension.

Revolved side angle pose is also known as Parivrtta Parsvakonasana. Start with tadasna, slowly spread your legs wide apart and then spread your arms wide apart. Turn your upper body to right, bend your right knee slightly, bring your left palm to the left and place it on the right side of your right foot. Stay in the same position for about 30 seconds and then get back to tadasana. Repeat the same, just twist the body to the other side. Along with the physical challenge, this pose allows your brain to remain in the present.
