Build Your Own Regime

It is not easy to start a fitness regime of your own however the most difficult part is to follow it. We often make decent and energetic starts but soon quit the exercises. Here is how you can create and regularly follow an exercise routine. Image Courtesy : Getty Images
Write It Down

Plan your exercise routine according to your body type and needs and write it down. Write even the smallest details including the reps and sets you intend to do. And if possible, put that paper on the wall where you can see it all the time. It will keep reminding you about your latest commitment. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Know Your Limits

One of the most common reasons that force us to quit an exercise regime is the difficulty levels of the exercises. Don't push yourself too hard so soon. Understand your body and its limits. Make a gradual start and then increase the difficulty levels with time. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Start with Basics

Start with simple and most basic exercises that can help you body get accustomed to the workout. Don't include heavy weights or difficult exercises as you are more at risk of getting injured during the initial few weeks. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Share the Progress

Tell a friend or someone in the family about your daily exercise routine. Tell them about everything your did today and which body parts your concentrated on. Also tell them about your next day's exercises so that they can remind you about the importance of those exercises to you. That way you will find it easier to stick to the exercise regime. Enjoy It

We often quit on things that we don't enjoy. If you want to stick to your exercise regime, fill it with exercises that you enjoy. You can always find a better substitute of a difficult exercise that you hate. Even if it's difficult, try to make it more joyful. You can listen to your favorite motivational song while performing such difficult exercises. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Find a Partner

If you have already had a history of quitting on exercises, find a partner this time. Having a partner will make it less likely to miss on an exercise routine. However make sure that the partner you choose is dedicated and serious about the exercises. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Keep It a Mixed Bag

Nobody likes a boring routine that is way too repetitive. Add lot of variety to your fitness plan; include different exercises for same core muscles. It is also very important to try a new exercise now and then because our body adapts to an exercise quickly making it less challenging and thereby less effective. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Eat Healthy

Switch to a healthier diet that can provide all the nutrition and energy needs during the exercise regime. Avoid unhealthy and calorie rich foods that can make you slow and lazy. Also take good care of your digestive system. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Get Ample Rest

Too much of anything can be bad. So is the case with exercises and other physical activities. You must ensure that your body gets all the rest and sleep it needs to prepare itself for the next day. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
