Eating nutritional foods
Food that can help reduce the anxiety and stress should be included in daily meals. Food that is rich in magnesium, essential fatty acids, Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamins C, B12 and D, carbohydrates will help stabilize blood sugar level, which in turn will have relaxing effects on the body and mind.
Right eating habits
Eating on time, eating in right quantity can impede OCD and its symptoms to a degree. Instead of having 3 big meals, a person suffering from OCD should go for smaller meals at regular intervals. Additionally, one should not eat in stress or anger, it should be chewed properly. Eating in right manner can help people with OCD get relief from few symptoms.
Caffeine can turn matter worse as it intensify the symptoms of OCD. A person with OCD should always opt for non caffeinated drinks.
No alcohol intake
There will be times alcohol might look like the option to ease the stress and anxiety and it may provide relief from the stress related symptoms of OCD but that won’t be permanent.
Stop Using Nicotine
Same as above, nicotine will provide temporary from stress (one of the most common symptoms OCD) but again, it the relief would not last longer and is not permanent.
