Frozen foods are easy and convenient to prepare, but have you ever given a thought to what keeps them fresh? Frozen foods contain high amount of additives, refined carbohydrates, high-fructose corn syrup, starch and trans-fatty acids. Trans-fatty acids and salt for preservation in frozen meals elevate your bad cholesterol putting you at the risk of heart diseases. Additives may lead to chest pain, headaches, drowsiness, numbness, breathing problems and increased heartbeat. Processed meat is loaded with high fructose corn syrup, which can cause pancreatic cancer.
Sugary Food Items

Pastries, chocolates, sweets, and jams in your refrigerator are full of sugar and processed carbohydrates. Overconsumption of these sugary items leads to magnesium deficiency in our body, which eventually leads to heart attacks, constipation, high blood pressure and neurological problems. The main cause of type 2 diabetes, high intake of sugary items, increases the risk of kidney diseases, liver problems, osteoporosis, depression, tooth decay and obesity.
Leftovers

Leftovers should be consumed within four days or they may become a health threat. Consumption of refrigerated and leftover foodmay cause food poisoning, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting. Before consuming them, heat them properly or try to avoid eating them.

Condiments such as sauces, creams, mayonnaise, salad dressing, cheese, bacon bits and other food toppings are loaded with salt, fat and sugar, which kill the beneficial effects of any healthful food. Condiments add too much sodium to your body affecting the blood pressure. They also increase the fat and cholesterol in your body, which eventually results in clogged arteries and raised risk of heart attack or heart stroke. The high sugar content results in tooth decay and weight gain.
Refrigerated Beverages

Soft drinks in your refrigerator contain no nutritional value and remove calcium from your body resulting in kidney stones. Overindulgence in cold drinks may lead to tooth decay, obesity, malnutrition, poor appetite, acidity and constipation.
