Frozen foods are easy and convenient to prepare, but have you ever given a thought to what keeps them fresh? Frozen foods contain high amount of additives, refined carbohydrates, high-fructose corn syrup, starch and trans-fatty acids. Trans-fatty acids and salt for preservation in frozen meals elevate your bad cholesterol putting you at the risk of heart diseases. Additives may lead to chest pain, headaches, drowsiness, numbness, breathing problems and increased heartbeat. Processed meat is loaded with high fructose corn syrup, which can cause pancreatic cancer.
