Happy birthday, Sania!
Happy birthday, Sania! Our beloved tennis star turned 30 today and woke up to this lovely gesture. Started playing at mere 6 years of age, Sania Mirza was coached by both her father and Roger Anderson. The racquet lass turned a pro after winning a bronze medal in the mixed doubles event of the 2002 Asian Games in Busan 2003; this was the game where she partnered Leander Paes. Then she won 4 gold medals 2003 Afro-Asian Games in Hyderabad. Sweats and struggles
All the trophies, all the titles and all the wins did not come easy, rather at a huge cost. Mirza suffered a right wrist injury that made her pull out of Sony Ericsson Open, the Family Circle Cup, the BNP Paribas Open and 2010 French Open. She has her own share of lost matches too but did that stop her, no, it did not. The star player never compromises on her daily workout routine. She works out four times a week. After her wedding with Sohrab Mirza was called off, 2010 was the year when she met her soul mate, the Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. The wedding became a controversial affair after Malik was accused of being already married. The ride was bumpy initially but now the adorable couple is enjoying a happy married life.
