Fish lovers, beware! Do not eat these fish breeds if you wish to stay healthy
Tilapia contains high levels of omega-6 fatty acids and very low levels of omega-3 fatty acids, making it an inflammatory. Usually, the omega-3 fatty acids are beneficial for your health but as researches suggest, tilapia has very low levels of omega 3s. High omega 6s content is dangerous for people with arthritis, heart conditions and asthma. This fish can cause inflammation, which can directly attack the heart and blood vessels. Farm bred tilapia contains some fatty acids that can be dangerous.
Although good salmon is not easily available but the fact is that majority of this breed is unhealthy. Farmed salmons have very low levels of omega 3s and studies show that farmed salmon contain toxins that can danger body parts and immune dysfunction.
High on flavour, catfish has its own set of hazards. Every fish has oil in it but catfish’s oil is in its skin, which is unsaturated and can settle in the blood stream. The fish tastes better than meat but the high levels of omega 6s makes it an unhealthy choice for people suffering from heart conditions.
First of all, the flesh of mackerel rots in hours. If it has been preserved, it will be not just dangerous but can pose threat to many organs. No doubt it is high on oils but it is also high on mercury, which can cause brain and nerve problems in many people.
Crab meat is full of Vitamin B12, protein and vitamins but at the same time consumption of crab meat cause you to overdose on sodium and cholesterol. Having an increased amount of sodium in your daily diet can increase the risk of heart strokes. Consumption in a moderated amount is advised.
