Home remedies for wisdom tooth pain

Wisdom teeth are a third set of molars that come during the early twenties. This happens between the age of 17 and 25 that these teeth start to move up coming at an angle through your jawbone breaking through the gum line and becoming a part of the other 28 teeth that area already in place. Saltwater rinse

Swishing saltwater in your mouth can provide relief with wisdom tooth pain. It can also help in treating many other dental problems and promoting oral health. It will help in wound healing and clean the debris on your teeth. Just add two teaspoons of salt in lukewarm glass of water and mix until dissolved. Then, swish this fluid around the affected area and spit it out. Repeat this atleast thrice a day for better results.
Cloves

Cloves contain an important ingredient called eugenol which can play the role of a numbing agent like ice and help in reducing inflammation alleviating wisdom tooth pain. You can take a cotton ball and dip it in clove oil. Then, place the cotton ball on the wisdom tooth. You can chew a few clove pieces, if possible. Let it stay around the affected area for 10-15 minutes before removing and washing it away. Clove is a strong ingredient, thus you can also mix coconut oil with it.
Peppermint

Peppermint leaves or oil can be used to get rid of wisdom tooth pain. You can apply peppermint oil on the affected area for relief. Ice

Applying ice or an ice pack is one of the best home remedies for wisdom tooth pain relief. You can wrap a thin towel or clean cloth around a few ice cubes or use a store-bought ice-pack for this purpose. In fact, bag of frozen peas would also work. You can apply it on the affected area for 15-20 minutes after regular time intervals. This will help in reducing the swelling and pain around the wisdom tooth. Essential oils including thyme essential oil, oregano, tea tree, peppermint, lemon, lavender and clove can be used for this purpose. Tea bags
