Summers Without Mangoes - It Just Doesn't Feel Right!
Their juicy, sweet perfumed flesh is unbeatable when eaten at room temperature. If there ever will be a competition for which fruit is the smell + taste of summers, mango will be a clear winner. Plus, mangoes are really good for u; they have heaps of enzymes which clear your skin, are packed with vitamin A + C, which boost your immunity, and research even shows that mangoes prevent cancer. Put peaches, mango, soy milk, and orange juice into a blender. Cover, and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses to serve. As simple as that! Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Blend together ½ fresh mango, 1 packet mango yoghurt, 120 ml mango puree, 45 ml sugar syrup and 100 ml milk with 6 cubes of ice. Serve in a highball glass and garnish with mango wedges. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Mango Ice tea
Fill Pilsner with ice and pour in the sugar syrup. Mix the mango puree and mango juice well in a cocktail shaker. Pour slowly in the glass so as it floats on the sugar syrup. Slowly pour the tea and serve it with a garnish of mint sprig. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Mango Passion fruit Smoothie
Blend 170 gm original frozen yogurt, 20 ml passion fruit puree, 200 gm chopped alphonso mango pieces, 6 ice cubes, and 20 ml non-fat milk together; protein powder is optional for health conscious people. Image Courtesy: Getty Images
Remove the skin and cut the mango into pieces. In a mixer/blender add mango pieces, cardamom seeds, sugar and 1 cup of milk and blend into a smooth puree. Check the sweetness and if needed add extra sugar. Add another 1 cup milk and vanilla/mango ice cream and run again to the desired consistency. Just before serving, place in the blender- 1 large ripe mango cut into cubes, 2 teaspoons ginger juice, 2 tablespoons lime juice, 3 tablespoon sugar, 3 cups of ice, and zest from one lime for garnishing. Wash and boil raw mangoes; let them cool. Peel, mash and strain their pulp. To it, add cumin powder, crushed peppercorns, black salt, asafoetida and sugar. Mix well till sugar is dissolved.
