Sex during pregnancy is unsafe.

Sex during pregnancy is completely safe as long as you aren’t experiencing any difficulties. Some women don’t feel like having sex when they are pregnant while some feel frequently aroused. Many women even admit to having an orgasm for the first time while pregnant. Some women may not have sex during pregnancy because of their assumption that having sex can hurt the baby. Intercourse during pregnancy cannot hurt the baby as normal sexual activities do not influence the uterine cavity where the baby is hidden. Feel free to enjoy your sex life during pregnancy until your doctor does not advise you otherwise. (Image source:Gettyimages)

Pregnant women crave for pickles and ice-cream.

Pregnancy doesn't make women crave for certain edibles. Such cravings actually tell what the body needs. Women who crave for pickles are really craving salt and may be mineral deficient. Many women crave junk foods such as ice cream during pregnancy because junk food is assumed to be amongst comfort-inducing foods. The sugars found in sweet foods and in breads, pasta and rice cause the body to produce serotonin, which makes women feel good. (Image source:Gettyimages)

There are no statistics on this theory. To date there has not been any research that concludes that eating any spicy foods will start the contractions early. (Image source:Gettyimages)
Foetal heart rate can indicate baby’s sex.

A normal fetal heart rate is between 120 and 160 beats per minute (bpm), though some people believe that if it’s faster, it’s a baby girl and if it’s slower, it’s a boy. But, there has been no study that conclusively shows that heart rate can predict a fetus’ gender. Your baby’s heart rate will differ depending on the age of the fetus and activity level at the time of the visit. (Image source:Gettyimages)
