Ingredients
2-medium-sized apples, half a cup of jaggery powder, half a teaspoon of red chilli powder, one-fourth teaspoon of salt, one-fourth teaspoon of roasted cumin powder, one-fourth teaspoon of black salt, and half a lemon.
Prepare apples
Start by washing the apples thoroughly. Peel the apples and chop them, and grate them into smaller pieces.
Add jaggery powder
Now, take the grated apple pieces and heat them in a pan. Add jaggery powder and cook it the jaggery is melted.
Add spices
Now, add red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder and black salt. Heat it on a medium flame until it start to thicken.
Add lemon juice
Turn off the flame and squeeze half a lemon. Stir it well, and this will balance the sweet and spicy flavours
Cool and store
Let the chutney cool down to room temperature and store it in a glass jar. Store the chutney for up to two weeks.
