Apply Sunscreen 

Sunscreen protects you from some harmful UVA and UVB rays while allowing some of the sun’s rays to penetrate that give you some tan. Apply a sunscreen with SPF 30 fifteen minutes before going outside. A sunscreen with SPF 30 blocks up to 97 per cent of the dangerous UV rays. Reapply sunscreen every two hours to avoid sunburns. Especially if you are doing an activity that makes you sweat a lot. 

Limit your Tanning Time 

Your body can produce melanin (the tanning pigment) to a certain point. Everyone has their melanin limit – recognise it and go inside when you do. If you stay beyond this point, you subjecting your body to the risk of burning and other problems. 

Take Shade 

Lounging by the pool all day is pointless if you end up burning your body instead of getting the perfect tan. So, take a break to decrease the impact of the UV rays and make your tan healthier and safer. Especially if you notice that your skin is getting red, cover the area up and go inside.

Fake the Tan 

It's better to fake the tan than being sunburned. Self-tanners will give you a natural tanned look without damaging your skin and putting you at risk of so many diseases. Go for a spray tan before your next brunch to look your best without putting yourself at risk of getting burnt or you can use one at home.
