  • Most stones (about 85%) are small and they pass through the urinary tract during urination usually within 72 hours after the pain starts.
  • Once a stone is formed, there are high chances that you may develop another stone in your lifetime. The stones tend to recur especially if you have a family history of stones and/or the cause is not found and treated.
