Researchers at the Monash University are working on the initial clinical trials of the innovative product. The product, known as Tefina, will boost sexual arousal, satisfaction and appetite in women. It will be made available in the form of a nasal spray containing testosterone, to be spayed in the nose hours before the sexual activity.

According to Professor Susan Davis, director of the womens health research programme at Monash University, the treatment could be a breakthrough for the women who currently do not experience sexual satisfaction.

She also added that the treatment is a revolutionary step towards saving relationships from being transformed.

This drug based product, Tefina, will also help women across the world to get rid of the long-term therapy based treatments for low sexual drive.

Clinical trials in Australia, Canada and United States suggest that the treatment will have no side-effects if any sexual activity did not take place.

The product is believed to be made available in pharmacies within three to five years.
