There are men who cannot wear a good fitting shirt; they are forever cursed with male breasts that stand out from inside a nice looking tight shirt just like how it does in women. So how does a man develop breasts, and even if he does, how can he reduce them?
For a teenager, hormonal changes during puberty could be a reason for the development of breasts. This is definitely very embarrassing, but the condition usually disappears after just a few months. For male adults the development of breasts is attributed to weight gain, when fat deposits over the pectoral region. When male breasts increase in size or become painful then it is time to see the doctor. Hormonal imbalance could again be the cause for male breast development during old age. Also, possible medical causes for male adult breast growth could be kidney failure, chronic liver disease, tumors, genetic disorders such as Klinefelter’s syndrome, and side effects to some treatment. What can liposuction do to reduce male breasts? But before that you should know a little about it.
This is the term which is given to male breasts; gynecomastia could be a pseudo one or a true one. A pseudo gynecomastia is defined as an enlargement of the male breasts which is caused by excessive amount of fat tissue, but a normal share of glandular breast tissue. Those male breasts appearing unusually large are the result of excessive fat. This one happens to a majority of men.
On the other hand the true gynecomastia is defined as an enlargement of male breasts caused by excessive glandular breast tissue, and this enlargement of breasts is not commonly found in men. Some causes of gynecomastia include alcoholism, failure of the testicles to produce sufficient testosterone hormone, and medications.
The most effective technique for reducing male breasts for pseudo-gynecomastia is liposuction. The breast tissue is dense and fibrous and hence it is pretty difficult to penetrate and remove with a liposuction cannula. Men who are normal and healthy have a wide range of the relative amount of fatty tissue and grandular tissue which is found in the breasts. The microcannulas are very effective in removing both the breast tissue and fatty tissue from a normal male breast, and the exceptionally dense grandular breast tissue may require surgical removal which would use a scalpel followed by closure using stitches.
The technique of liposuction is a well recognised procedure, but it has not yet been standardized. Smaller cannulas facilitate liposuction of the male grandular tissue and it also permits consistently the outstanding results. It has been found that surgeons use larger cannulas that have an outside diameter of at least 4 mm. Surgeons also do prefer microcannulas that have an inside diameter ranging from 16 gauge = 1.2 mm ID, 14 gauge = 1.8 mm ID, and sometimes a 12 gauge = 2.2 mm ID cannula.
The tumescent liposuction of male breasts is done with the help of local anesthesia. This is done after local anesthesia is gently injected into the selected areas of the skin that is overlying the breasts wherein multiple 1.5 mm punch biopsy holes are made. Then again a large volume of the local anesthesia gets injected into the breasts.
The situation of male breast development is certainly an embarrassing situation and therefore we suggest that you live a healthy life which would include physical activity, good diet and quitting alcohol and cigarettes.
