Brain cancer is a catastrophic disease in which cancer cells grow in the brain to form a mass of cancer tissues. Cancer tissues, also called tumour, disturb the normal brain functions. Brain cancer is categorised into two types- primary brain cancer and metastatic brain cancer. In primary brain cancer, the cancerous cells develop from the brain and in metastatic brain cancer, the brain gets the cancer cells from other parts of the body. National Cancer Institute estimated that 22,000 people every year are diagnosed with brain cancer.
