Although some reports say that estrogen helps women cope stress better than men, a new study claims that stress affects women worse than it affects men.

A stressed womanUrban lifestyle could be blamed for it. Work deadlines, competition, family responsibilities and inconsistent relationships have made stress a part of our lives.

But the need of a happy and healthy lifestyle cannot be stressed enough. Stress not only affects the mind and its powers but harms the whole body.

To Save your Hair: Every woman goes through hair fall due to stress. It is a self-realised fact. Emotional or psychological stress can cause a significant amount of hair to break.

To Fight Depression: Not just stress, but depression also targets women twice as likely as it targets men.  Both these devils are directly proportional, so avoiding one to end another is important.

To Avoid Gaining Weight: According to the study conducted, weight gain in women due to stress is quite common. Though weight gain in women is also associated with other factors, yet stress is shown to be one of the biggest reasons behind women putting on extra kilos.

To Maintain Sex Drive: Major changes in life that leads to stress or prolonged stress is also believed to lower libido. It is said that elevated levels of cortisol suppress the body's natural sex hormones.
